Google DeepMind announces Genie 4 for interactive virtual environments

Published: 02/11/2026 · Event date: 27/10/2026

What happened?

On 27 October, Google DeepMind announced a Genie 4 research preview for selected testers. The model creates interactive virtual environments with sound.

How could this help me?

Training teams could explore practising difficult situations before staff face real customers. First assess whether a simulated environment reflects the job; this is not a ready-made office tool.

ExampleIllustrative scenario

A shop trainer wants to practise handling a product return. They list the return rules and information staff must provide. If given test access, they compare the generated scene with that checklist. Misleading scenes are not used; visual realism alone does not prove learning.

Access and limitations: Access is limited to selected testers. Wider access is planned; general availability, pricing and Turkish support have not been verified.
