Market growth rate
The percentage change in total sales in a defined market between two comparable periods.
Simple example
If the market rises from 100,000 to 120,000 bottles, growth is (120,000 − 100,000) ÷ 100,000 × 100 = 20%. Growth (%) = (Current market − Previous market) ÷ Previous market × 100
Why does it matter?
It helps assess market development and investment that may be needed to keep up. It is not cash outflow itself.
